In-8, overlapping vellum (Early binding). Editio princeps, in Greek, of two of the major ancient treatises on the interpretation of dreams and oniromancy: the Onirocritica by the Lydian philosopher Artemidorus of Daldis, written in the second century, and the divination treatise On Dreams, composed in the early fifth century by Synesios, a Neoplatonist philosopher and bishop of Ptolemais in Cyrenaica. It was compiled by Francesco Torresano, Aldus Manutius' brother-in-law. Elegant Greek printing adorned with the Aldine mark on the title and verso of the last leaf. Copy in an antique vellum binding.
