Note: Created in 1946 by two ceramists from the Ecole des Arts appliqués in Paris, Roger Capron and Robert Picault, a trio was formed in 1947 with the arrival of Jean Derval. Each was responsible for a different stage in the manufacture of the enamelled pieces: Picault turned the pieces, Capron decorated and enamelled them and Derval distributed them and presented them at the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs in Paris. This adventure in the Arts du Feu came to an end in May 1948, when they each decided to chart their own artistic destinies.
