ATTIC RED-FIGURE GLAUX SKYPHOS WITH OWLS Ca. 450 BC. A red-figure glaux skyphos with a tapering body set on a ring foot, a horizontal ear-shaped handle to one side and an upright looped handle to the other. Each side is painted with a stylised owl facing frontally, the head turned in profile with a heart-shaped face and large, circular eyes. The body is detailed with short strokes indicating feathers, framed by upright laurel leaves.
