ATTIC RED-FIGURE GLAUX WITH OWLS Ca. 450 BC. A terracotta glaux with a deep cup, inward curving rim, one horizontal and one vertical loop handle, standing on a ring foot. Each side is decorated in the red-figure technique with a frontal owl flanked by upright olive branches. The owls are rendered with rounded bodies and incised plumage, their large circular eyes and short beaks accentuated by fine detailing.
