It then passed down through the family to Mademoiselle Moreau, who gave it to the daughter of her best friend, and then through the family. A letter dated 1 October 1990 from Maître Yves Thierry, auctioneer in Brest, and a letter dated 26 September 1990 from Mr Éric Turquin to Maître Yves Thierry will be given to the buyer, as well as an old document addressed to "Moreau Villa Kéréol, Pont Croix Finistère" representing the painting.
