The Chaîne and Saint Nicolas towers form the majestic entrance to the old port. This painting can be compared with a pair of door tops by the van Blarenberghe brothers, signed and dated 1770, representing views of Lisbon and Warsaw (kept at the Bibliothèque municipale in Versailles).
