Attributed to Phalibois "The disreputable monkey A very fine creation for this dandy monkey dressed like the young men of the early 19th century. It is animated by ten movements driven by ten wooden cams and ten pulls: three for the head (head, jaw and eyes), three for the left hand which adjusts the lorgnon on the nose (beautiful movement of the wrist), two for the left leg and two for the right arm which turns a cane. Later independent music by Reuge with three tunes. Old restorations. Under a globe (slight crack at the back). Blackened wooden base. L. 56 cm. Total height 50 cm. Height of the monkey 33 cm.
