ATTRIBUTED TO PIERRE GOUTHIÈRE, DOOR HANDLE WITH INTEGRATED LOCK AND STRIKE, LOUIS XVI PERIOD, MODEL MOST LIKELY CREATED BY FORESTIER FOR THE FLATS OF MARIE-ANTOINETTE consisting of two rectangular ormolu and green patinated palâtres with bas-relief decoration of a winged sphinx dying in foliage, surrounded by foliage, and a handle with pearled floral decoration. They are bordered by a moulding projecting from a frieze of rais-de-cœurs and surmounted by sphinxes. (Minor damage and missing) A lock decorated with sphinxes, attributed to Pierre Gouthière, Louis XVI period, 18th century, model created by Forestier for Marie-Antoinette appartments.
