Porsche 911 The Porsche 911 was presented in 1963 at the International Motor Show Germany as the successor of the Porsche 356. The name was first ‘901’, but as it was a trademark by Peugeot it had to be changed und the car was introduced as ‘911’ into the market by 1964. It was available as Coupe, Targa and convertible. The ‘G’ model was built till 1989 and was later replaced by the ‘694’ type.
