Antonio Carnero Trogner (Brussels, 1568 - after November 1661), the son of an administrator and accountant in the army of Flanders, was a Spanish politician, best known for having been secretary to the Count-Duke of Olivares, the favourite of Philip IV of Spain, whose disgrace did not prevent him from becoming Secretary of State between October 1660 and 23 November 1661, the date on which the office was abolished. He was made a knight of the Order of Santiago in December 1636.
He married Ana Maria de Zarate, who bore him eleven children, including two other knights of Santiago: Alonso Carnero Ortiz de Zárate, lord of La Chapinería, perpetual alderman of Avila, councillor of the Council of Castile and member of the Chamber of Justice. He was made a Knight of the Order of Santiago on 6 September 1653 and Antonio Carnero Ortiz de Zárate, Knight of the Order of Santiago, who married Inés de Torres.
