The British Museum holds drawings and engravings of illustrations by various artists for novels and books by our author, as well as illustrations that Roger-Marx collected, as his love of 20th-century art led him to amass an important collection, which, because Roger-Marx was Jewish, was targeted by the ERR, a Nazi Party organization dedicated to the appropriation of cultural property during World War 2.
