In-4, red half-maroquin with corners, spine decorated, gilt head, untrimmed, cover and spine (Devauchelle). Collection of three tales by the Baroness d'Aulnoy: La Biche au Bois, L'Oiseau bleu and La Belle aux Cheveux d'Or, preceded by a preface by Jacques Hérissay, illustrated with 48 lithographs after Jacques Cassegrain. Edition of 140 copies on Rives vellum, this one nominative for Jacques Bocquet, enriched with 9 plates of original compositions signed by Cassegrain, including 8 in gouache and one of sketches, 16 plates of various states of illustrations and the dinner menu of the Société Normande du Livre Illustré. A fine copy in perfect condition in a neat binding by Devauchelle. Slight transfer of some illustrations.
