An extremely high quality set of four girandoles in the Louis XVI style
Silver. 2-light; trumpet-shaped stand, surrounded by tongue frieze-like fluting and a laurel leaf wreath in relief. A fluted, conical shaft above a short, cylindrical nodus decorated with a wavy band, crowned in the centre by a fully sculpted flame above a laurel leaf wreath. Below a hanging in the form of draped cloths. Two curved candlestick arms with canted edges decorated with calyxes grow from the sides, ending in cylindrical spouts above wide eaves bowls. Small removable eaves bowls. Marked, mark of the master André Aucoc (active from 1887). Total weight approx. 5130 g. H. 31.5 cm.
