The volume is a complete work on military architecture, covering theory, construction practice, the different types of fortifications, mechanics, tools and machines for their construction, as well as their defence, dealt with in book six. The volume is in an excellent state of preservation, apart from a few damp shadows on some pages, and is rich in important drawings and capilettera.
