Author: M. Francesco Sansovino Printed in Venice 1583 at Altobello Salicato at the Libreria della Fortezza, dedicated to Iacomo Regazzoni Signore di Santo Odorico, in the province of Frioli. Book ¼ folio, hard cover presence of parchment on the rib bearing the title of the work. The volume is a treatise considered essential for understanding Renaissance political thought and is divided into twelve books in one. The text deals with orders, laws, magistrates, as well as the customs and traditions of certain kingdoms and republics, all listed on the first page of the volume. Nice typographic mark, capilettera, headpieces and book ends. First page with some handwritten annotations, damp stains, some woodworm holes and the 12th book appears to be incomplete with the last page although the binding is original with no obvious restoration or manipulation.
