AVIA- Flat enamelled plate circa 1940-50. Good condition, minor retouch in the white of the left attachment, minor oxidation. Enamelling: "Vitracier - Neuhaus" 44.6 cm in diameter. Several independent petrol importers in Switzerland joined forces in 1927 under the name AVIA, and in 1931 the AVIA trademark was registered in St Gallen (Switzerland) for "fuel for automotive use".
