In-8, marbled half calf with corners, smooth spine decorated, daffodil edges (Binding of the period). First edition of this curious work (Chadenat, n°2775). It contains, in appendix, the alphabetical list, with age, qualities, situation, of those deported to Cayenne in execution of the law of 19 fructidor an V.
A very pleasant copy. Stamp with crowned initials FA; ex-libris scratched on the front cover and label at the top of the spine.
