Haenel of Suhl, dated 1887. The blade was later shortened to a length of 84 cm and the counter-edge cut in Bowie shape. The cruise is marked 36 R (curved capital) 7. 217. Smooth wooden plates, functional pusher, wear to metal parts of pommel. With leather scabbard. Initially regimented to the Ersatz Battalion of JR135, then marked 36.R.8.58. Both scabbard and bayonet are from the 2nd Battalion of the 36th Reserve Infantry Regiment. Wear from use, patina. Leather scabbard with chape originally marked to Ersatz-Bataillon JR135, later re-marked "36.R.8.58." Both bayonet and scabbard correspond to the 2nd Battalion, 36th Reserve Infantry Regiment. Service wear and patina.
