S98 saw-toothed bayonet. Seitengewehr M1898 nA, called carp's tongue, long and thin blade, manufacturer Haenel in Suhl, reception stamp and date 1904 on the back of the blade. Blade with teeth of saw, some parts oxidized. Marking on the cruise B.6.R.4.238 for 6th Bavarian Infantry Regiment, 4th Company, weapon no. 238. Handle with 2 grooved wooden plates, new model. Lack of wood on the pommel side. Functional pushbutton. Oxidised pommel. No scabbard. German S98 Sawback Bayonet Seitengewehr M1898 nA, "Langue de carpe" pattern. Long, slim blade by Haenel of Suhl, inspection mark and 1904 date on spine. Full sawback, areas of oxidation. Crossguard marked "B.6.R.4.238" for 6th Bavarian Infantry Regiment, 4th Company, weapon number 238. Ribbed wooden grips, partial losses near pommel. Working release button, oxidized pommel. No scabbard.
