A fine copy. Works by Balzac in attractive contemporary bindings are very rare. A broken seam in volume I.
Copy from the splendid collection of Colonel Sickles (Cat., 23 October 1991, n° 3817) - Ex-libris Pierre Latrobe (Bibliothèque d'un amateur, 11 April 2005, n° 43).
