Baule, Ivory Coast, mid 20th century. An astonishing three-string monoxyl harp. The parallelepiped resonance box is covered on its main side with an animal skin. The two sides are decorated, one with a seven-pointed star, the other with a face with half-closed eyes. The resonance box is topped by a neck ending in a female head. At the back of the neck is a standing figure with its arms raised.
