Large in-8, red morocco, rich gilt framing with floral motifs decorating the boards, double gilt fillet at the edges, guilloche-trimmed headpieces, ornate spine, spine flaps edged in morocco decorated with a repeated triple fillet and gilt irons, gilt edges on witnesses, cover and spine (Chambolle-Duru). Edition illustrated with a portrait of the author and 12 in-text illustrations engraved after drawings by the painter Frédéric Régamey. Two hors-texte facsimiles of autograph letters are reproduced by Dujardin and printed in intaglio by Wittmann. Edition of 85 copies, this one of 10 offered to the contributors, enriched with the two states of the illustrations, the pure etching, and a state with remarks. A fine copy in a striking original binding signed by Chambolle-Duru.
