It contains 69 colour plates, chromolithographed from drawings by the author and Vincent Fossat. This remarkable monograph on the mycological flora of the Alpes-Maritimes is a continuation of the work of J.-B. Barla (1817-1896) published in 1859 in Les Champignons de la province de Nice.
