Baroque lidded goblet with bear hunting decoration Colourless glass, cut and carved decoration. Wide bell foot, jointed hollow baluster stem and honeycomb facetted base of the bowl. Circumferential cut frieze decoration of a courtly hunter with hounds hunting a bear next to a stylised castle, the lip rim accentuated by a toothed border. Domed lid with honeycomb-faceted, hollow, drop-shaped knob. H. 32.5 cm. A German probably Hessian cut and engraved glass goblet and cover with bear hunting scene. German. Probably Hesse.
