Baroque walnut chest of drawers, veneered and inlaid with ash, maple and plum wood. Straight, rectangular body flanked by angled corner pilaster strips on a moulded frame and pressed feet. Three curved, slightly concave drawers in the articulated front. Widely protruding top panel. Wide framed veneer panels over the entire surface, bordered by ribbon inlays. H. 79 cm. 113.5 cm x 64 cm.
Provenance: from the dissolution of an important North German private collection. Purchased at Kunstauktionshaus Schloss Ahlden, 1994, auction 89, lot 1380.
