Barry Flanagan. In addition to the EA edition for the artist, a numbered edition of 7 copies was also cast. Abstract sculpture by Flanagan, who is one of the most important British sculptors of the present day. Flanagan studied at the Birmingham College of Art and Crafts in 1957/58, then at St Martin's School of Art in London, where he taught himself from 1967 to 1971. In 1972 he took part in documenta 5 in Kassel in the "Individual Mythologies" section; in 1982 he was again represented as an artist at documenta 7, and in the same year he also represented Great Britain at the Venice Biennale (Biennale di Venezia). Flanagan's sculptures and sculptures are represented worldwide in public spaces in Europe and the USA. In addition to abstract works, he favours depictions of rabbits and other animals.
