The Osborne Library copy of this important collection of over 120 engravings depicting works from the renowned collection of Duke Étienne François de Choiseul (1719-1785). This particular copy belonged to the library of Sir John Wolfe Barry, the engineer responsible for the construction of London's Tower Bridge. 4to (275 x 210mm). Engraved title-page with engraved dedication on verso, portrait of the dedicatee, 12 descriptive plates, 125 plates depicting paintings, one of which double-page (some browning, mostly to the initial leaves).
