Daniel Baud-Bovy (Geneva 1870 - 1958) was the son of the painter Auguste Baud-Bovy. After working with the Symbolists in Paris, he returned to Geneva, where he was curator of the Musée Rath and director of the Ecole des Beaux-Arts. A poet, writer and art critic (author of Peintres genevois in 1903-1904, Vacances d'artistes in 1909, L'art populaire en Suisse in 1924, Les maîtres de la gravure suisse in 1935), he was also a good mountaineer: in 1913, he and F.
