Meunier 39). Illustrated with 108 black compositions by Louis Icart, printed on the press by Gaston Dorfinant. Unique copy n°1 on japon impérial, printed specially for Madame Louis Icart, containing a suite in sanguine before the letter and enriched with : - two typescript pages signed by Charles Meunier, one addressed to the 50 bibliophile subscribers to "Vitraux" and the second entitled "Addition documentaire", - 4 large original watercolours, - a large original pencil drawing (24 x 30 cm), - a long autograph letter signed by Charles Meunier: "To Madame Louis Icart, I willingly and with deep respect sign this typography which has given me the pleasure of a craft hobby and also that of having won the collaboration of Louis Icart...", - an "unpublished" autograph page signed by Camille Mauclair and addressed to Madame Louis Icart, dated May 1942, about Charles Baudelaire and Les Fleurs du mal: "Jealous from childhood of the second marriage of a mother whom he confusedly adored more as a lover than as a son, Baudelaire atoned for this perverse resentment by his inability to know, with tender respect for femininity, true love...".
