Mariette Lydis composed 2 successive suites to accompany this work: a suite of 10 coloured etchings signed by the artist (1928) printed in 150 copies; and a new suite of 33 coloured plates, also signed, in 1937. This copy, one of 15 on old japon, includes the 2 suites (1928 and 1935), the first with 3 states of the plates and an ORIGINAL AQUARELLE. A fine edition given by Count Giuseppe Govone, who became Mariette Lydis' third and last husband in 1934, reflecting the diversity of their tastes. SPECTACULAR MAROT-RODDE BINDING.
