BAUDELAIRE Charles. Œuvres complètes. Paris, Michel Lévy, 1868-1870; 7 vol. in-12, slightly later bindings in chocolate half-maroquin, spines decorated with gilt fillets, gilt heads, covers and spine (V. Champs). First collective edition, partly original, "extremely important" Clouzot, (p. 46). In Les Fleurs du mal, 25 poems are unpublished. In Curiosités Esthétiques, only the two salons had previously appeared. L'Art romantique is almost entirely in original, except for Gautier and Wagner. In the Petits poèmes en prose, the Spleen de Paris appears for the first time. Portrait of Baudelaire on the frontispiece, engraved by A. Nargeot. Carteret, I, 129.
