FINE HUNTING KNIFE, CIRCA 1730-1750 Agate handle; silver half-spherical rivet; finely worked silver ferrule and guard with two inverted "S"-shaped quillons with enamelled polychrome inlaid decoration of birds, hares and foliage; straight blade with flat back, gutter and counter-edge, engraved with moons, sunburst stars and foliage; leather-covered wooden scabbard with two silver fittings and long tongue clevis knob, decorated with enamelled inlays; the handle is broken in a vein of stone, the enamel is slightly missing, the scabbard is open at the sides; A.B.E.
