BEAUTIFUL HELLENISTIC HIGH KARAT GOLD AMPHORA-SHAPED EARRING WITH CABOCHON Ca. 300 - 100 BC. A gold earring with an amphora-shaped pendant and cabochon inlay. The earring is composed of a long gold wire loop above a circular bezel framed by beaded filigree and set with a convex orange cabochon. Below, a separately cast amphora pendant is suspended, featuring volute handles, a narrow neck, and a fluted body adorned with applied filigree. A small leaf-shaped ornament surmounts the bezel.
