ORIGINAL EDITION of Beccaria's main work on electricity, based on Franklin's theories. Giambatista Beccaria (1716-1781) taught experimental physics in Palermo, Rome and Turin and was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in London in 1755. Some foxing, one quire misplaced, hinges split. Stamp of the Biblioteca Ferdinando Palasciano.
