Beautiful wooden plate bearing the Marechal's portrait of the front, surrounded by the motto je fais à la France le don de ma personne and two painted badges of the Legion Francaise des combattants. Lartiste has engraved his name, which is probably that of Martin. On the back, the plate is numbered 35/300. 2 labels are stuck depoque, on the first one we can read 55th birthday 6 february 1937 6 february 1942 of my dear and venere friend le commandant Guitaud, on the second one we can read Best wishes for a good and happy retirement merited with my brothers. Diameter 24.5 cm. Decorative wooden plate featuring a front-facing portrait of the Marshal encircled by the motto I give myself to France and two painted insignias of the French Legion of Combatants. The artist has signed what appears to be the name Martin. On the reverse, the plate is numbered 35 out of 300. Two original period labels are affixed. The first reads 55th anniversary 6 February 1937 - 6 February 1942 of my dear and revered friend Commander Guitaud. The second reads Best wishes for a happy and well-earned retirement with my brothers. Diameter 24.5 cm.
