Entirely made from fine navy blue woollen cloth, with a sewn-on front attribute embroidered in cannetille, and a lacquered leather chinstrap held in place by two small buttons decorated with the Anchor. Visor with plastic band. Headband in fine fawn leather. On the back of the cap is a paper label indicating the tailor Ha Xuong Tailleur civil et militaires 19 rue d'Ormay à Saigon, as well as a second paper label indicating Pierre Ridou Maitre commis Ban Tan Son Hanoi.
