A fine and important pair of ormolu and patinated candelabras. Each candelabra rests on a square base surmounted by a fluted cylindrical column ending in a ball on which stands a winged Victory holding at arm's length a bouquet of 4 lights (one central and three peripheral) in gilt bronze. Initials "L J" inside the shaft of the column. French Empire period, first half of the 19th century. Mounted on a wooden base. Height (without base): 65.5 cm. Height (with base): 71 cm.
