BEAUTIFUL RUSSIAN ICON OF THE HOLY VIRGIN OF IVERSKAYA, 20th CENTURY Tempera on wood, preserved in a vermeil riza, framed by a wide frieze decorated with openwork arabesques alternating with 12 medallions in polychrome enamel, representing the main saints of the Orthodox Church and adorned at each corner with a protective archangel; the main border is set with a line of coloured stones and Rhinestones; the Blessed Virgin and the Infant Jesus are crowned with a crown set with roses and Rhinestones, framed by a line of coloured stones and Rhinestones; presented under glass in a gilded metal box, with its original leather travel case.
