Beautiful hurdy-gurdy made by Pajot in Jenzat, bearing the label and iron mark on the keyboard case. Dated 1869. Polychromed flamed maple top. Carved mother-of-pearl edges and ebony and bone marquetry. Carved head pegbox Lute-shaped case with nine ribs (to be rejoined) Three pegs missing, cracks in wheel cover and table. Restoration to be expected.
