Lithograph and watercolour on paper 41 × 33 cm. Lev Aleksandrovich Belousov (1806-1854) was a painter attached to the Department of Military Colonies. He studied at the Imperial Academy of Arts and took part in the production of lithographs for the publication Collection of Uniforms of the Imperial Russian Army (1830), as well as for Description historique des vêtements et des armes des troupes russes (1841-1862) and several other works on military themes.
