His "PatentMotorwagen" which was patented on the 29th of January 1886 was not a horse-cart retro-fitted with an engine as it was often the case at the time, but an inspired and brilliant creation purpose-designed and built. Between 1885 and 1887, Karl Benz developed three variants of his vehicle. Of the first two vehicles only one was built but disappeared. With the third variant, Bertha Benz and his sons Richard and Eugen achieved their legendary travel from Mannheim to Pforzheim in early August 1888, the very first long-distance run in the whole automobile history. The car offered is a factory-built replica of the Benz Model 1. These perfect replicas of the Dreirad (three-wheeler) are built one by one by the factory to be exhibited in the show-room of the most important Mercedes distributors in the world. € 30/50 000
