This rare book of controversy is aimed at the Traité des fièvres by the Dutch physician Cornelis Bontekoe, published in Utrecht in 1682, who is not named in the libel. The bibliographies do not identify this "Dutch author who claims to overturn all medical opinions". We have identified him thanks to the Bio-bibliographien Brandenburgische Gelehrte der Frühen Neuzeit by Lothar Noack and Jürgen Splett (1997) p. 69. - Krivatsy 1227 - Conlon, Prelude, I, 1310.
