The beautiful engraved illustration includes a frontispiece drawn by François Boucher, 41 plates (14 double-page maps and double-page maps and 27 views of battles, including one on a double page), a title vignette with the coat of arms of France (repeated), 6 banderols and 5 culs-de-lampe. These figures were drawn by C. Eisen, A. Benoît and L. Boquet and engraved by L. Lempereur and Pasquier.
