Amaranth veneered bookcase opening to three glazed doors, the front with a central projection presents a cornice in doucine and a base in scalloped plinth. Chased and gilded bronze ornamentation such as falls, clasps, lock escutcheons and foliate fillets.
Regency period. Stamped CAREL. Jacques-Philippe Carel (1688-1755) was a cabinetmaker who received his master's degree in 1723.
