A VENICE MAIOLICA VASE, CIRCA 1560; SLIGHTLY WORN, FEW DEFECTS, MINOR GLAZE DEFECTS The trophy background, typical of Venetian kilns but elaborated with particular elegance by Mastro Domenico and his workshop, already appears to have been codified in the mid-16th century. In this case, the decorative repertoire is enriched by musical scores, perhaps used here to trace the date of execution.
