Bone, with openwork decoration and polychrome highlights.
In the shape of a catafalque, with a domed lid resting on 4 straight legs. A line of dominoes runs the length of the lid and coloured lines underline the border.
The interior features a painted altar of remembrance with a column bearing the words "Nelson died oT 21 1805" followed by the words "Trafalgar" and a portrait surmounted by the patronymic "LORD NELSON". A Roman soldier wearing his cuirass stands on the right-hand side. Other illegible inscriptions in red at the bottom.
