Elongated octagonal box from the late 19th/early 20th century in 18k (750 thousandths) yellow gold decorated with diamond leaves and rose-cut diamonds on the lid in the "kundan" technique. The box is covered with champlevé enamel over the entire outer surface and in the hinged lid. The inside is enamelled green with a central motif featuring a coloured bird. The edges are covered in royal blue enamel and feature pairs of doves, symbols of love and purity. Under the finely engraved box, a pair of blue elephants, symbols of wisdom.
