H. 58 cm (total), W. 32.5 cm, D. 32 cm Gross weight: approximately 5.900 gr. Condition: excellent overall condition, the left handle is not firmly attached. Bolin was a jeweller and goldsmith working in the Russian Empire from the first half of the 19th century until 1917, supplying the Court of His Imperial Majesty. From the 1890s onwards, Bolin was Fabergé's main competitor and continued to manufacture most of the major pieces of jewellery for the Court. The company still exists today as the jeweller and goldsmith to His Majesty the King of Sweden. Konstantin Eduardovich Linke was a silversmith based in Moscow on Kuznetsky Most who worked for the Bolin firm. At the beginning of the 20th century, he became a full-time employee of the Bolin factory and headed the goldsmith's department.
