Grenadier cap.
Made of bear hair (Ursus americanus), the frame is assembled in several sewn parts, without an embroidered cap.
Inside with tightening buckle and two chinstrap buckles. Inner cap with eight wolf teeth
with brass eyelets.
Remains of a label with "7th Battalion" mark.
Presented with an officer's plate of the 3rd Regiment of Foot Grenadiers of the Imperial Guard.
Height 40 cm; Width: 28 cm.
With a scarlet plume (height: 14 cm).
Good condition. Mid 19th century.
The bonnet dander is listed in Appendix II of the Washington Convention (CITES), and in Appendix B of European Community Regulation 338/97 of 9 December 1996. A CITES re-export permit will be required if the animal is to be exported from the EU, at the expense of the future buyer.
