Count de Borch visited Sicily between 1776 and 1777 and produced this highly detailed account of the region, both in terms of nature and ethnography. 2 parts in 1 volume, (195 x 120 mm). Copper-engraved vignettes to titles, 26 engraved plates (some folding) and 3 folding engraved maps (light browning). Bound in contemporary calf, spine gilt, gilt lettering-piece to spine (worn).
